Wierd burn speed

I've just noticed this using the latest RC-3 (2.5.4.977), but I've not burnt a CD during the betas so it could have been since the first. This has worked before though!

My CD writer is an external Memorex (Model: MRX523252AJEL) with a write speed of 52. This always used to appear as x52 in MM but is now appearing as x413.4742, which seems a little strange to me. It is also burning a lot slower than it used to be.

Is there anything useful I can provide to see what's wrong? Will a debug log help in this situation?

Yes, a standard debug log would be interesting.
