Synch with Zen Vision:M

Hi, I downloaded some old-time radio mp3 shows and wanted to load them onto my Zen Vision:M player. If I just copy them over to the device, they just go into an Unknown folder because they do not have any tags (genre, artist, album, etc) set up. I found that I could use the ZVM Media Explorer to add these tags to each mp3 file, synch it to the device, and the radio show wil then show up in the proper genre/album/artist folder on my player. The problem with the ZVM Media Explorer, though, is that it only lets me change one tage at a time. This makes changing multiple radio show very tedious.

I downloaded MediaMonkey and was pleased to find that I could globally change tags on multiple files. When I try to synch these files to my player, MM seems to synch them but the changes do not show up on the player. I have tried selecting the files and synch'ing selected files only. I have tried auto synch. I have tried Send to the ZVM. Nothing works.

Any help would be appreciated.

I use MM to synchronize my music library with my Zen Vision M. Much better than the creative software.

You could tag them in MM with a particular Genre (Radio Shows) and then sync them with the ZVM. If you have all those files in a folder (including any subfolders if you want) you have to go keep them in your MM library. Add them by pressing the Ins key and select the folder where they are located in your PC.

Then go to Tools... Options.... Portable/Audio Devices.... look for Creative Zen Vision:M and then Configure. Choose Synchronize only the following and check the folder where you keep all your Radio Shows. You can also go to the Synchronization Options tab and in Synchronize tracks to... type

\Music\<Genre>\<Artist>\<Artist> - <Title>

This will copy your files in the Music Folder in the Media Folder of the ZVM like this:

\Music\Radio Shows\Artist\Artist - Title

This should let you find the shows under the Genre Menu of your ZVM.
