playcount bug!!! (confirmed)

Hey, i'm not quite sure what the formula for calculting whether a song has been played or not but i found some strange behaviour....
if you start playing a song, pause it immediately and do something else for a few minutes, the second you unpause the song the playcount will +1.

so basically, i'm assuming it counts a % of the tracks total time from whenever you start playing it and if it plays for say 50% of the total time it counts as having been 'played'.

thing is, if the song is paused, the timer keeps going!

I'm pretty sure MM assesses 30% of the song played as equaling played
I'm not sure if this is natively configurable, I don't think it is.

There are rating [url=shttp://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=2]scripts[/url] that do allow you to configure percent of song played = playcount change

good to know... but that doesn't really change the main purpose of my post!!!

so say its 30%... and you are listening to a 10 minute song. if you start the song, pause it after 2 seconds and wait for 3 minutes without unpausing the song or playing another song, it will count the song as played, even though its been paused for that 30% of the time, and not actually playing!

I just turned off my autorating script and tried this and can confirm I can also force this.

With the autorating script installed this did not happen.

There was a bug reported a while ago where I think it would count a play during the pause. I guess now it does so after restarting playback.

well its still a bug!! cause if the song is paused for 2 mins it shouldnt count as having been played for 2 mins!!!
