whats with the forum today?

Post by rovingcowboy »

its been giving me fits just trying to log in or get on the forum it keeps saying,
can not connect to the database.

sometimes a refresh will do and some times i have to close the tab and return to the forum to get anything to work,
it some times does not refresh the page after i post a message either.

there is never anymore then normal on here when it does this.

it seems to just want to be Orn'ry today :o

I have been getting "critical error" for the last couple of days intermittently and then this morning (my time) couldn't get in at all. I always try the MediaMonkey Home Page - not sure if they are linked via server or not, but that was also down briefly.

Perhaps some unscheduled maintenance going on?

Just did it again while I was posting this?

now all the unread postings have gone...

There have been some problems with DB on the server, hopefully it will be resolved soon...

Same here. Reinstalled Firefox 2.0.1 and the board continues its antics. Works better with IE7-boo hiss, but not perfect there either.

I don't think it's anything to do with the browser your using, seems to be a local database issue that keeps appearing from time to time.

It's a bad time of year for fixing anything, I'm sure it will be looked at and sorted out eventually. 8)

UPDATE:
The problem remains sporadic. It affects some or all Forums. Not only that, I have had to LogIn after several of these events. I am aware that it is not Firefox or IE (yuk) for that matter.
