MM goes wild when using Multimedia keyboard media keys

Just retested with a standard multimedia keyboard--no problems. Anyone else out there using the logitech keyboard?

Just checked again after a restart and tried to count quickly, and it seems that when I press "next", it forwards 20x. I currently use MediaMonkey=wac,MediaMonkey.exe,Winamp v1.x,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,xxx,0,1,MediaMonkey - it seems to work a little better than the other one here. Exact version of MM: 2.2.1.755, on Windows XP SP2 RC1.

Just tested this solution and now my MMkeys works perfectly with MediaMonkey (2.1.595) minimized! :P

Just to make sure.. you add this line to the end of players.ini in c:\program files\logitech\itouch\ right?

No, this one:
MediaMonkey=cmd,MediaMonkey.exe,Winamp v1.x,xxx,xxx,40045,40046,40047,40044,40048,0,1,MediaMonkey (which sends WinAmp compatible messages to MM)

Restart the PC or the itouch software after modifying the players.ini file.

Yes that's what I did.. I just tried that other line (the one you just mentioned), and now when I forward it forwards 4 files, when I use previous, it goes back 5 files. Better than 20 I suppose, but still not doing what it's supposed to do.

Could someone explain the meaning of the codes initially proposed by Jiri and/or why the 1st time pause is used on a songs set it stops the playback (subsequent use are ok)...

Notes:
Using "...40045,40045,..." "Pause" always restarts the current song
Using "...40046,40046,..." makes pause always working but starting any song set using the "play" key does not work anymore
Using "...40046,40045,..." makes the problem appearing with the "play" button (ie. 1st use of "play" button on a new songs set does not react, but "pause" works fine)

Strange, isn't it? Any idea?

Edit: may the problem come from the unique "play/pause" media button that can only send PLAY or PAUSE event... ? :-?

I found out MM works fine when you don't install the Logitech drivers. I'd rather have them installed though.

Octopod is right that there isn't a command for Play/Pause button. I don't see such command in WinAmp API and so I added a new one: '39999'. In case your keyboard has Play/Pause button use this number instead of 40045 (Play) and 40046 (Pause).

This command will be available in the next release, not yet in 2.2.2 beta.

I also have a Logitech keyboard, and have the same 'track skipping' issue when pressing the next track key.

Is there any plan to look into fixing this one? The play/pause works fine.

I am running Win2K SP3 with MM 2.2.2.777, and a Logitech Cordless Elite Duo keyboard.

I observe the 'track skipping' issue only when pressing and holding the prev/next buttons (ie. when trying to seek within current track), so a single hit on the buttons should work and only skip to prev/next track.

you should try

Nope, it does it with only one press of the prev/next button.
