Album Art Location

Where is the downloaded album art saved to? I searched the forums quickly, but found no answer

Normally the art is stored in the tag within the mp3 file ("embedded"). But you can choose to store it as a separate jpg (usually in the album directory, some prefer a special directory for all album art)

Check the Track properties --> Album Art. Point at the art and a text will tell you if it is stored in the tag or as a link to a jpg.

If its stored as a tag, does it make the file larger?
