there's two reasons Pretty Pictures is slow... with a large tracklist, it takes a little while to write the xml file that PP needs before it can start displaying the pictures..
then, with alot of pictures.. that's alot for PP to hold in memory...
the first way I built it, before I released it, dealt with the memory on run better, but the fluidity wasn't seamless enough... I'll be looking at a hybrid system soon so that large tracklists will sacrifice a little in order to run better but the smaller ones will stay the same.
