The kbps indicator's much better this way. Thanks nohitter :) Though I start missing the countdown option - just kidding

As for the problem above, I get the same. If you roll-up to the mini player and come back to the maximized view, it solves the problem. This issue was there before you extended the click-able zone of the playback control buttons. It started with the first version of 1.6 I think.

I'm looking into it. For now, just follow magicalpig's advice and minimize to microplayer then restore to fix.

I did unlock it, but thats besides the point. The error above is for ZuneSkin original skin, not ZuneSkinSP. I have a few exams this week so I don't have much time, I'll take a look at it next week or this weekend.

Hey nohitter, I'm just curious about what caused the problem with the buttons at startup?

I'm really not sure, to be honest. I think it might have had something to do with fixing the next and previous buttons in a previous update (and defining the clickable area). It seems like MM was redrawing the transparent layer incorrectly for the next, play/pause, and previous buttons (although I can't figure out why, it seemed to be working before the button's clickable areas were changed).

Right now my solution is really just a work-around. If you change to another skin, then switch back to Zune skin, you'll see the buttons are messed up again. I assume this will be less of a problem than the buttons looking bad on startup, however. Of course, I'll keep searching for a real solution as well.

Is it me or is it more restrictive to skin MM3 compared to MM2? (I know nothing about skinning, I just read the forum)

No, its definitely not more restrictive. There are soo many more things you can do in MM3 than in MM2. Its just buggier at the moment, but I know the devs are still working hard on the skinning engine.
