Any hints as to the timeframe when we might see anything? Weeks? Months? Days? Years?

Re: MediaMonkey for Windows 8 Metro App
MM should appear in the Store any day now.

My question is (because I have not seen it here) will MM be able to "see" the local SD card? I have a Dell XPS 10 tablet with RT, I love the tablet, but the deal breaker for me is that no matter what music app I use, it fails to see the SD card, and yes I have tried EVERYTHING suggested on the internet to force or trick RT to see the SD card, to no avail. I would literally pay $100 for a music app that allowed this feature - if I can't get my music on the SD card this brand new Dell XPS 10 is going on Ebay. Having a music app that allows this makes my new tablet PERFECT for me

What is the op system? Android? If so yes mm should see the sd card. If some form of windows like cc or c+ one of those i think it should still see it, mmw might work on the tablet then.Ricker101 wrote:My question is (because I have not seen it here) will MM be able to "see" the local SD card? Well as i stated in my original post, it is Windows RT. I actually sold my ASUS TF 210 (Android) to buy the new Dell XPS 10 tablet, what a huge mistake that turned out to be. I had absolutley no troubles at all with Android - you don't realize what you have until it's gone. ASUS TF201 come back home to daddy - I didn't mean to sell you

Re: MediaMonkey for Windows 8 Metro App
Just did a search in the Windows store at this link:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... ediaMonkey
No such app as of yet. "any day now" meaning what exactly? Today tomorrow - next year?
I am sorry to be blunt but I'm like a herroine addict without herroine when I don't have my music. I am SUPER pissed at Windows for mis-representing Windows RT. All I need is a music app that will read from the SD card in windows RT and everything will be good!

Re. release - there are some administrative problems (not on our side), so 'any day' is the best guess I can make atm.
Re. SD card - yes, it seems to be supported fine in MM8.

Re: MediaMonkey for Windows 8 Metro App
I've been to the Microsoft store over and over again. Has there been any progress? I downloaded and purchased MediaMonkey for Windows also by the way. Must admit, I have been sorely missing the bus using itunes for so many years. Nice job! MediaMonkey is now my default music player - not to toot my own horn, but I am somewhat a Music collector (+180,000 MP3's) so I am very particular about my music player and ability to manage my library using it. Very impressed with MediaMonkey if MM for Windows RT is only half as usable - I will be very pleased

Re: MediaMonkey for Windows 8 Metro App
Damn that sux. The metro apps for music players in the windows store are complete garbage. I still don't have an app that reads the SD card by itself, although I purchased 2 that claimed to be able to - no luck. I find it amazing how completely lack luster the windows store is. i mean I know everyone said that it would take time, but even when the Android store started up the "quality" of the apps was MILES above where microsoft is, and reading from your SD card was NEVER an issue - with ANY of their apps.
I love Windows 8 for PC, LOVE Windows Phone but I HATE Windows RT - it is COMPLETE GARBAGE

Microsft Blames #3rd party developers for lackluster sales of windows 8 phones and desktop systems. Said they did not make good applications for the win 8 ops and that is why win 8 is getting poor reviews. Its all the non microsoft developers fault.
Re: MediaMonkey for Windows 8 Metro App
It would appear so. I can speak pretty intelligently to Windows 8 for PC and now also will advocate Windows 8 Phone. Having owned iphone and an array of Android phones, it wasn't until i made the switch to a Windows 8 phone that I became fully content with my phone. Incidentally the music app (and other apps) for Windows 8 phone reads from my SD almost as if by default - which makes it even more perplexing that Windows RT does not.
I got my windows 8 phone (tmobile) requested an unlock code for it (I am stationed in east Africa) and this phone works so much better in third countries than any of the others. Not to mention Windows just figured it out for the Windows 8 phone (I LOVE it!). I have everything I need and then some on this phone. I've owned it for 4 months now and still can't stop playing with it! It was because of the windows 8 phone that I sold my ASUS TF 201, replicating my move from Android to Windows across all social media.
Again - making Windows RT that much more perplexing. If it works flawlessly in Windows phone - why not RT?
