This plug-in is not needed from ScrobblerDJ.

It is the last.FM plug-in and is only needed if you want to report the songs you play to Last.FM.

If you need this plug-in you can try and download the most recent version from last.FM.

The latest version is fully compatible with MM and it does not cause any problems... (at least not to me)...

First off thanks for a great script!

For some time I have been having the following problem on shutdown of MM:

"Everytime I simply exit/close the application, I get a Windows XP Error box that says "Media Monkey - Audio Library has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." The options at the bottom of this Windows error box are: Debug/Send Error Report/Don't Send."

Anyway after finally getting some time this weekend, I looked into the problem and after taking Jiri's advice I from this post:

I discovered the problem plugin is:

gen_audioscrobbler.dll

Do I need this plugin to run your script and do you have any ideas on why it is causing a problem?

Thanks.

Do you use MINILYRICS plug in?

For some reason, there is some kind of problem between MM, minilyrics, and the new last.fm plugin... whenever you close MM it crashes if minilyrics and last.fm are running together.

I have found that if I close minilyrics before closing MM, then no crash.

Alternatively, you can remove either last.fm or minilyrics plugins, or revert to the OLD last.fm plugin (the one without the tray app).

Teknojnky, thanks for the reply. I do not use the MINILYRICS plugin and I do not see a last.fm plugin in the plugin folder.

If it helps, here is a snapshot of my plugins folder:

gen_audioscrobbler.dll is used to send what you are playing to Last.Fm and it is not needed to use the script.

BTW what AudioScrobbler version you are using?

If you can't find it I'll post you 1.20 Beta.

Peke - I have been keeping up with the topic and downloading and installing all the new releases so I am using v1.26beta2. If you think 1.20 Beta will not cause the problem - I will use it.

I think he meant the scrobbler plugin version, not the scrobblerdj version.

Plz be patient. I am almost ready to resume coding of new version.
Soon, an alpha version will be released...

Who wants to place bets, I'll give 10:1 odds on Vista releasing before Scrobbler DJ.

Guest!
Extremly rude of you to write such stupid shiat!!!

All scripts you find here are work done by unpaid users which has taken their free time to develop them. The only "payment" they get is nice comments and "Thank you"'s from other users.

psyxonova is a great guy and one of those which contribute most to this forum.

If you have a question or a wish regarding an update of a script you should write something like this:
Hi psyxonova,
How it is going with the update of this nice script?
Thanks so far for a great work!

Cheers
It would be in place with an big apology from you to psyxonove! If it's good we might forgive you.

No need to be angry Bex...
Some ppl are just unhappy with how the things work...:D

Guest I really appreciate your interest but as I have said many times before my free time is very limited and although I have a million other things to do, I always try to add some lines to the new version everyday.

If you don't like that then you are free to code yourself a new version. Source code of current version is in your MediaMonkey\Scripts folder.

So to end this now, i wont speak for the progress of the script until is ready to be released. And it will be ready when it will be ready. Nothing more, nothing less

Heads down now, i have exams tomorrow... :-?

I appreciate all the hard work of the scripters. All you have really helped make mediamonkey an awesome product. And the scripters and others on this forum are so helpful whenever a problem comes up. Thanks guys! :D

Yeah, good luck with the exams, and don't rush the script - a rushed script is never as good as a carefully and lovingly scripted masterpiece! :)
