AutoRateAccurate 2.4.3 (22/10/2009) - for MM3
Re: AutoRateAccurate 2.4.2 (6/12/2008) - Preview of the next Gen
Sorry, I don't have a lot time to answer.
First it's not a vista issue as I also developed it on vista.
About the time the script needs: the first time is timeconsuming because the tags are updated by mm. The next time should be much faster.

OK, thanks BB. It certainly is time consuming... it's still going. Phase 2...
But hopefully when it is done I won't have the 'hang' after songs.

I have 61000+ files taking up 380GB of an external 1TB drive (Western Digital)
The drive itself is usually very fast.
I am running Vista on a 2Ghz machine with 1 GB of RAM.
I don't like Vista... at all.

it took much longer on my first scan. if that is what your talking about. much much longer. like 3 hours.
but it runs now with out any trouble it scans the songs in the playlists and adjust only those needed. i use the custom rule.
i have a slow system i use for backup of songs so it takes everything longer then normal.

Hey kalowski,
so probably it takes that long because your library is quite big and you use an external hard drive. Specially little modifications of a large number of files takes significantly longer on these drives. And this is exactly what the script has to do the first time you run it.

oh big berny on this other machine i have i noticed that the script does take a long time when re scanning the songs in a playlist that has not been played in 3 or more days.
it can take 2 to 4 minutes depending on the speed of the cpu and your size of playlist.
when it does the first part of the scan it will start the song over again then finish tagging all the songs it found
in the playlist that needed to be re tagged according to the settings of the script.
maybe getting that speeded up some will help.

Re: AutoRateAccurate 2.4.3 (29/10/2009) - Small bugfix
Sorry, BB, but I've had enough. External hard drive or not, it should mess up my system like it does. After I completed the full scan of all tracks I decided to listen to some music. After about 5 tracks it just hung there "1 track to be tagged" and hung and hung until I forced a shut down.
Shame, cause I like the idea of this script, but I need one that works for me.

Yes. Couple of times. I will log off and back on later, to try that
Re: AutoRateAccurate 2.4.3 (29/10/2009) - Small bugfix
Even though I uninstalled Auto-Rate I still get an error where MM seems to be looking for the file every time a song plays.

Hey kalowski,
please check in the Scripts/Auto-folder (probably C:\Program files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Auto) it there are still some files which begin with "AutoRateAcc". If yes, delete them. If no, your problem has nothing to do with the script as there aren't any additional files or modifications.
