I have seen something similar concerning lyrics. I've been slowly adding lyrics to songs in my playlists, because there are many songs I love but have never been able to fully understand the lyrics. Occasionally I'll run into a song that does not show lyrics in MMA (where I spend most of my listening time), but if I bring up the song in MMW (where I prefer to add lyrics after looking them up on the Web) there are lyrics there, I believe with a "Save" icon. I would guess they're there because when I first used MM, I had the background metadata lookup turned on for lyrics, until I realized that 90% of the lyrics that were found that way were crap, or at least not reliable. In MediaMonkey, album art can be stored in a few different ways:
1) 'unsaved' this is when the artwork has been automatically looked up, but not saved.
2) saved to tag (i.e. embedded within the track itself)
3) saved to the track's directory (i.e. saved but not within the track)
It sounds like these lyrics, like the album art above, have been cached in MMA but never saved. I would like to clean them up, but unlike the instructions in that other post for cleaning up cached artwork, there does not appear to be an option to find cached lyrics via Music > Files to Edit > Unknown Lyrics. Is there a way to do this?
Thanks,
Steve
