It's me again
Due to some Google Drive antics on my files, I programmed MM 2024 to scan my files when I first open the program as you can see:
https://imgur.com/vnnYJrh
That first scan is taking now about one and a half hours. That's something never happened before.
I'm using MM 2024.2.1.3200
This is my database configuration:

EDIT: Returned to 2024.2.0.3184, and it does it quite faster (about less than 1 min). I'm going to stuck with it in the meantime.
Initial scan taking too long [#21916]

Re: Initial scan taking too long
I'm also getting very slow scans in 3200, this was not happening in earlier betas. Used to be much, much faster.
Re: Initial scan taking too long
This is expexted due to a change how Artwork is scanned. This is still being fine tuned for a final 2024.2.1 release.

This should be resolved in build 3201. Can you confirm that it works for you?

Re: Initial scan taking too long [#21916]
Yes, much improved.
Test folder contained 10,788 files and 3200 took 18 min 36 sec to scan. Same folder in 3201 now takes 3 min 28 sec.
The test folder is one I haven't changed anything in for quite sometime and the 18 min scan was a re-scan from a couple days earlier. I did not note the time on that first scan, but it's where I first noticed the scan time taking much longer.

Re: Initial scan taking too long [#21916]
Given the size of my collection (+100k tracks), it takes a while, but it reduced to about 45 min to 1 hour (which I personally think is still quite long), so definitely there's an improvement there on 3200.
