forum bug: private messages

when sending a private message i get the error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: from() in /home/songs-db/public_html/forum/privmsg.php on line 1312

am I the only one ?

Nop, there is an old bug with sending messages. The message does get send, and you can check in your outbox if it got send.

I'm getting a related problem, though I don't know if there really is a problem with private messages or if I just need to understand what is going on.

About ten hours ago, I sent two private messages. Right now, they are still in my Outbox, not my Sent Messages folder. In the Outbox, the date and time each message was sent is shown and looks right. But have the messages actually been sent? Will the recipients have received them? In a conventional email program, messages in Outbox are still waiting to be sent and usually get moved to a Sent Messages folder or equivalent when each message is actually sent.

I've only sent one other private message before these two. That got moved to Sent Messages, though it did concern me at the time because it stayed in the Outbox for a few minutes. These latest two have been there for hours. Is this a problem? If so, is there anything I can do about it?

Messages show in the Outbox until they have been read by the recipient. As soon as the recipient of the PM opens the message, it shows for you as sent.
