MM only uses 1/2 the screen when tiling the desktop

Post by Mike A Chapman »

(Haven't spotted this on the forum, hope it's not already been posted)

Hi guys, great product but we all know that.....

However,

Whenever I tile my windows with MM open, it seems as if there's a hidden window taking up desktop space. None of my many other apps suffer from the issue if MM is closed/minimised.

This happens whether I'm skinned or using the Windows system theme. I've tried closing all the panes & toolbars.

MM v2.5.4.978 on WinXP SP2 with NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 (driver v.6.14.10 with all nView desktop enhancements disabled).

Does anyone else experience this?

Window tiling still broken for me in MM3 (all builds so far)

Post by Mike A Chapman »

Rusty,

Still happening. Any ideas? Need more info?

Since my original posting, I've reinstalled Windows on a fresh drive, although I did use the Files & Settings Transfer Wizard (yeah, I was being lazy but I did have 41GB of data excluding my audio library!). As many apps and drivers as possible were updated to the latest versions, many others weren't reinstalled at all.

I've tried to see if there's a hidden window the main MM window is tiling with but I can't see anything obvious going on. I'm not a developer, but after 20 years experience of PCs (using Windows v1 and up), I doubt that I'm doing something really stupid.

I know this is a small thing, but it's annoying that it's in the new version(s) too.

Otherwise, great work and roll on the official release version!

Regards.
