I just installed .992. Did some rips to MP3.
I noticed that the volume levelling field was filled in, which none of my previous rips have had. Upon listening to some of the tracks, the music was seriously clipping.
I installed .992 and tried this again another machine. Same thing.
So I backed out (re-installed) the previous version I was using, .985, and re-ripped and listened. The volume levelling field is not filled in and there is no clipping.
I did not change ANY settings for the install of .992 or when I went back to .985.
Has something changed with how volume levelling is handled between .985 and .992?
Regards
What has changed with Volume levelling in 992?

Incorrect volume leveling value for CD Rip
Anubis,
You're right. The problem was introduced in a recent build when we decided to show the volume leveling value for tracks that were converted/ripped.
The problem occurs only when 'Level Track Volume' is enabled. The conversion is working corrrectly, but MM is assigning a volume leveling value based on the pre-conversion volume rather than after the track's volume has been adjusted.
I'll post an update shortly.
