Creative Zen Micro - Playlist in file mode

If you use the "filemode" drivers for this unit, instead of the evil plays4sure, playlists are not synched.

Wife just made a nice long playlist. Sent the playlist to the player. All the SONGS are synched, but the playlist is not there or available.

Hi,

Most likely this is because the device doesn't recognize the playlists when it's being used as a USB Mass Storage device.

Generally, for USB Mass Storage devices that support playlists, the playlists must be copied to a specific location for them to work. Also, note that the USB Mass Storage plugin always copies playlists as .m3u files while the wmdm plugin copies .pla files (since that's what's usually used in mtp devices).

i had the same problem, then I realized the check boxes next to my new playlist in the auto-sync configuration list for the micro were not checked. I haven't had any problems since.
