Browser

Post by gab »

Love the browser feature. One suggestion would be to eliminate the automatic filtering of items. For example, I have the 3 windows set up as Genre - Artist - Album. However if I select one of the genres (say Rock), and then select an Artist within this genre, all the other genres (except Rock) disappear. I have to click on All a couple of times to get the full list back. I don't know if this was intended to be a feature or is a bug, but in any event, I personally find it more useful; if the lists remain complete as you browse.

Thanks.

PS - AWESOME new version. Well worth my lifetime license cost.

it's highly likely I'm missunderstanding... but isn't that it filters out what you 'don't' click on the whole point of the browse feature?

I totally agree. Right now, though, I'm just happy a browser was implemented. Go MM!

oh.. I understand now... you're right, it should online filter the columns to thre right of the one clicked.

AGREED! - good pickup

I agree with gab - this is the first thing that jumped out at me. It would make more sense (to me) if it filtered to the right of what you click.

I disagree!

I like it very much that a selection inside of one pane filters all others panes. Hopefully that that won't be removed. However, an option may be senseful.

actually.. I'm not sure.. I think I like it.
it means no matter what order you have your columns set up.. if you need to enter via a different rout (eg. artist before genre)... you can easily.

you should have the option then because of you keep constant columns (ie. Genre - Artist - Album), you need extra commands to move between selections (ie. you need to click on "All" to get the complete list again)

I noticed the browser doesn’t work with the music on your Ipod. :( Itunes and Winamp both are able to use this filter functionality with the Ipod. Hopefully this functionality will be available in MM soon.
