Here are some problem reports you might find useful.
On MediaMonkey (non-skinned).exe Version 3.0.0.1017, Win XP SP2.
1 The Player pane looks really ugly. Presumably this is not as intended.
2 The Player pane's Shuffle button is missing its graphic (screen above).
3 The Player pane's button graphics are not centered on the button faces (screen above).
4 The Player pane, when sharing the width with Now Playing, unecessarily consumes nearly two-thirds of the width. Surely it would be better staying at its minimum width of 334 pixels. (screen above)
5 With View | Player unticked, subsequent launches show a blank panel in place of the player.
6 Adjusting pane sizes near the Player pane sometimes causes the Player pane to jump to double-height and stick there
7 If MM was closed with floating player, on relaunch the player is docked but obscuring part of some other pane e.g. Track List:
or (here a blank panel, due to player being unticked as reported above) Tree:
8 The Player pane's buttons fail to show tooltips.
9 The Player pane is missing the playing/paused indicator.
