Alpha 6 - Filters Bugs (retitled)

Post by Teknojnky »

I modifed the "Music" filter to include the property "Status is Accessible" as the first entry.

When starting MM with the Music filter active, the artist and album nodes do not function. They only display "Unknown".

After opening the manage filters window, then pressing OK (with no changes), then the tree's will refresh and display properly.

edit:
this seems to occur specifically with the 'status is accessible' property.

The default 'music' filter works fine upon restart (with no status is accessible), however the default 'available tracks' filter shows the problem with 'status is accessible' property.

I'd guess that it's somehow related to the fact that MM is yet checking, which drives are accessible. Do you already see them in My Computer node? If you wait a little, does it work then?

which files? I see the files that are available, yes, however the drive on my home computer is not available (because I am not home).

How much time? I waited a few minutes (maybe 5 or so), and it had finished its autoscan of the 600some gigs and still did not load the artist/albums.

edit:
btw, I tried an hour or so later and still shows as unknown, so does not appear to work correctly until you open the manage filters and close it again.

I know what you mean and is reproduceable for me. It will be fixed in next build.

Also 2 more bugs related to filters:

- The manage filters and edit filters windows do not remember remember their position

- the filter "Available Tracks" can not be moved from the 2nd position (I did not try to delete and recreate), it will not move down, nor can any other filter be moved up to the 2nd position.

I don't know if this could be classified as a bug, but to me it is un-desirable behavior...

Any time you open the filter dialog and press ok, it changes the active node back to the root library node.

This is kinda aggravating, as it is nice to be working within a particular node and then want to apply a different filter, but it keeps resetting the active node, resulting in having to re-navigate to it (yes the back button does work, but that is besides the point).
