While ripping songs to MP3 from a CD last night, I received an error indicating that MM3A7 couldn't read a track (the last track) from the CD. The error seemed to loop. The choices were cancel, retry and ignore, all of which simply brought the error back over and over.
I closed MM3 using task manager, rebooted and tried again, receiving the same error. Being frustrated because it was late and I was ready to get some sleep, I quickly clicked on the cancel button 3-4 times in succession.
Guess what? The error disappeared. I expected nothing else since I cancelled, but instead MM3 resumed the ripping, which was about 1/2 thru at the time of the error, completing it normally.
Afterwards, I played the track all the way thru with no glitches...
System was XP Pro, AMD 1400 (I know, rather old at this point!), 512 MB ram.
Thanks, Danny
