I just wanted to inform some people about a way to get good album art (sometimes 1400x1400) through iTunes. I know there was a website that would convert cover art to jpeg or tiff files for you, but that site has been blocked byApple.
What I do now to get the album art is I have an mp3 in my iTunes library that I just call "Album Art Grabber". When I need art, I just change the artist, album, and title of the track, right click on the song, and choose "Get Album Art". Then all I have to do is right click on the song and choose "Get Info", go to the artwork tab, right click on the art, and choose "Copy". I can then paste the artwork into Photoshop and save it as a jpeg.
WARNING: when I updated iTunes to the latest version, I kept getting a message saying that the artwork could not be found, so I downgraded to the first version of iTunes 7.

Don't you need an account to get album art from iTunes?
Anyway this is a long process. I recently posted about a website that has album art, but I don't know if it's already shutdown.

Yeah.. you need an account to get Album Artwork..
And to get an account you need to give them a Credit Card..
Not somethin I feel like doing..
Especially since i can usually go to google, click 'images' and search for "<artist> <album>" and get decent artwork.

Yeah, Apple blocked whatever he was doing a little over a week ago - mere hours after I had gone through my entire library!Lowlander wrote:Anyway this is a long process. I recently posted about a website that has album art, but I don't know if it's already shutdown.
