RC2 - Ipod cannot eject [4005]
At work, I don't play music from my Media Monkey library. Instead I use Media Monkey to play and navigate my music on my Ipod. I did notice that I cannot eject the Ipod after Media Monkey plays music from it. The error I get is - Apple Ipod USB driver cannot be stopped now. It appears to be in use by another application. After I get this error, I have to kill Media Monkey with Windows Task Manager, then use the Windows eject USB Device option. I get this error with XP and Vista. It appears MM doesn't let go of the Ipod after music is played directly from it. Any one else seeing this problem? I think this issue was also present in RC1 as well.
This happens to me as well. I am at work, have MM3 RC 2 (1105) installed, have no music in my MM library, and play my iPod Classic thru MM. I am running Win XP SP2. I get the error "Apple Ipod USB driver cannot be stopped now. It appears to be in use by another application" most of the time but not always.
Failure to eject iPod that has played
Thanks.

I wonder if this problem would go away if you shut down the ipod \ ITunes sevices? Are the services needed?
And so you need to have ITunes installed on the computer to run the ipod from MediaMonkey? I was helping someone with their system and found that we could copy tunes to the ipod from MM, but the songs would not play on the ipod until after we installed ITunes. Then the songe that we previously copied worked. I wondered if the IPod driver comes in the ITunes package?
Will the thing stop working if we uninstall ITunes? (Hates ITunes!!)
