Strange behavieur in reading INI file

Post by itsjsdi »

Finally I have been able to deal with the matter of disconnecting my internet connection following the explained in the article

http://www.mediamonkey.com/faq/index.ph ... artlang=en

This time the matter is with the INI file.

Using an INI file from time ago, I included drive G in ignoring. It was drivers ABG.

MM3 found stranger the INI file, discarded it, created a new one and started as usual. This INI did not have any problem previous to editing. This also happens to me with changing the placing of the library.

I edited the new created INI file and also added letter G to excluding reading of drivers. This time I put the order GAB.

MM3 started fine and now internet connection remains.

So, something is wrong in reading the INI file, as a file not having problems at all, has a lot when just edited adding a letter.

Really, really strange.

I have put the line

DBName=M:\MediaMonkey\MM.DB

as the first line of the SYSTEM section in the just new created INI file.

Now, internet connection remains and DB file is handled in the portable HD.

A more thing would be appreciated to achieve some kind of portability:

When starting MM, firstly try to read the INI file existing in the same directory as MM executable. If it exist, use it for reading and writing. If it do not exist, start MM as ussual.
