trixmoto: Genefinder not showing in MM3 RC 2

Post by Randall_Lind »

I installed it for both MM2 and MM 3 and it shows up under scripts in MM2 but, nothing in mm3.

Genefinder.vbs is in the auto folder I even copied it in to the main script folder but, still when I click on tool : scripts not listed in mm3

I fix it by adding this to scripts.ini

[GenreFinder]
FileName=GenreFinder.vbs
ProcName=GenreFinder
Order=50
DisplayName=&Genre Finder
Description=Finds genre for track from Last.Fm
Language=VBScript
ScriptType=0

However when I run the script I get a warrning saying I don't have permission.

Are you using Windows Vista? If so, I was having similar problems until I realised I needed to already have MM3 running as administrator when I ran the installer so that the installer had the correct access to rewrite files, etc.
Download my scripts at my own MediaMonkey fansite.
All the code for my website and scripts is safely backed up immediately and for free using Dropbox.

I am running XP with SP 2. I played around and got it working. Last.fm needs to clean up the genes some albums have 2-5 different genes'

I love it!

Last.fm doesn't have genre's per se. The tags are mostly used for genres but they are for whatever you want them used for.
