Image saving issues: Save Image to Tag & album folder

Post by rogman »

Hi

I've had a look through for this specific query and I can't see it being discussed, apologies if it has though.

I'm tagging all my files and also adding images, i've been selecting the Save Image to Tag (if possible) and folder option for downloading of images. However, although the image appears to save against the song tag, it doesn't save in the album folder. Hence when browsing files on windows the folder doesn't dispay the art. If however I select just save album image to folder, it works. How comes the combo option isn't triggering the save to folder?

I'm awaiting delivery of the Zune 2nd gen and I guess images will be refered to the album folder, so will need this to work. Plus its nice when you open up and see all folders with the album art on!

I've tagged most albums like this thus far, so don't really want to have to go all back through again if possible...

Please help.

I thought it would try to save in tags and if not possible in the folder. Maybe I'm mistaken.

Anyway you can check out the Album Art Tagger script in the Scripts and Components forum to help out with managing album art.

Rogman, thank you.

I found a bugs in this area in the case if you have disabled
[ ] Confirm desired options on addition of album art

Then

a) When auto-tagging from web (amazon) the image is stored only to tag although it should be stored to album folder too.

b) When adding Album Art from a file, the file is just linked instead of copied to the album folder and linked.

Thank you for reporting this. Will be fixed in MM 3.0.2 B2 bug fix release.
