Changing rating in lower display resets all other tags

When editing tags for a currently-playing song in the playlists/now playing (using F2), the track info display at the bottom is not updated immediately with the new info. Subsequently, if the rating is changed using the stars on the lower track info bar (the grey area next to the play controls, in the default layout), all the other track info is reset to the values they had before changes were made.

Changes made to tags in the playlist should be reflected immediately in the track info display.

This is using MM3. "Update tags when editing properties" is selected in the Library -> Tags & Playlists options.
