I searched but I couldn't find an answer to this problem.
One note, this is a Zen with the firmware upgrade applied. I tried syncing UNprotected iTunes AAC onto the Zen from MM 3.0.1.1127 more than once, it simply will not work. The files play fine in MM but will not sync onto the player. This is frustrating because that's one reason I bought the Zen. So it will sync mp3 only. One other note, I found some posts that seem to suggest using WinAmp's AAC converters would get better results syncing, but the Zen only plays iTunes encoded AAC so I can't use WinAmp's AAC converters. I tried testing some tracks on the memory card and it was confirmed, iTunes AAC only. I get "audio format unsupported" with WinAmp's converters.
What do I need to do to get iTunes AAC files onto the Zen? Other than drag and drop from Explorer, but I wanted to sync AAC playlists also.
Thanks for any help!
P.S. I know I read somewhere that AAC sync may not be supported fully. But I was hoping this either isn't the case or there's a workaround. I do have WinAmp Pro so if there's no workaround on MM, will WinAmp sync iTunes AAC onto the player?
I can't sync unprotected AAC files to the Creative Zen 4GB.

I know there are different types of AAC but I explained in my post that the Zen takes iTunes encoded AAC. It shows as .m4a on the player's memory card and the file says mpeg-4 audio on the computer. The player definitely takes it, it's been confirmed by both my tests and also the box says iTunes Plus tracks, meaning unprotected AAC encoded by iTunes. But MM won't sync these files to my device. However, it does play these files, so I'm confused as to why it won't sync them.
I'm going to have to drag and drop through Explorer if I don't find a solution soon, but then I have no idea how to make AAC playlists through Explorer. I wonder if WMP 11 now accepts AAC. If it does I may have to go that route, which I also hate.
Zen owners who use AAC, please help! I'm desperate, LOL!

Please e-mail me a debug log generated this way (when the device is connected, of course):
d) For synchronization bugs, also send us the following information:
ii) For an MTP device, please generate a log of the device's internal structure using the following tool: http://www.mediamonkey.com/beta/testtools/WMLog.exe
To use the tool, save it to the /Program Files/MediaMonkey directory and run it after connecting your device. It'll generate a log that is saved to C:\MMLog.txt.

Device Dump
Since I don't see any followup to this thread, I'll e-mail you a log dump from my Zen - I'm running into the same problem that Music Diva is having, and while I can get the files on there via another route, it'd be nice to be able to do it from MM.
Thanks for the log, I hopefully see the reason for this problem. It should be fixed in the next release (or you can try to download an updated dll now here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/beta/d_WMDM.dll )

Thanks, jiri! The updated DLL works great.
