MM 3 album art buglet

Post by GSV3MiaC »

If I scan the album covers into 'album name.jpg' in the VCD folder, and then try to add album art (options add to tag, and save in folder under album name) I get error messages (presumably MM3 is trying to copy the .jpg to the same place as it already is?).

I also seem to get TWO copies shown on the 'album art' tab of the properties page - however if I close properties and then reopen it one of them goes (and if I try to delete one BOTH go away).

I cannot replicate, anyone else can replicate this?

1. What is the error message telling?
2. Which is the way you add the album art, via the [Add] button on the 'Album art' track properties page? Or another way?
3. Why you add an album art to the same place where is another already presented?

I get 'problem copying file c:\<album>.jpg to ?:\<album>.jpg, if I try to add it with 'copy to folder' checked, and the art is already in the folder. Yes, this is via the 'add' button. Doing it from Amazon, for instance, usually works (unless the CD is in the drive, in which case I get different error about not being able to write e:\<album>.jpg, where e: is my CD drive). These are all for VCD tracks.

Yes, you are right,
I see the problem, MM is trying to copy the image to the CD instead of to the VCD folder.
Thank you, we are looking into this.

Hi,

Could you please fix this - I was merely editing the lyrics of one song (with just that selected) and triggered the same error - MM tries to copy the album art that is linked from the ripped track to those from the same album that are only referenced as being on the CD. Unchecking 'Apply to all selected tracks' on the album art sheet might stop it, but as I didn't move anything or touch the album art it is going to be a big problem for me - I now have to delete all relative album art references to the CD - 540 new entries were added (for some reason - there should be 270)!

Edit: 'Apply to all selected tracks' resets itself to checks on every deletion/change!
