3.0.3.1159: Inconsistent "Find More From Same"

Post by Mizery_Made »

First let me admit that I haven't been following the Testing process since the original release of Monkey 3.0 and thus this might have been brought up before. I did try a search but after a few pages I gave up the search. So, onto the problem.

If you right click a track in the Now Playing window (or in the main window inside the Now Playing node) and go to the "Find More From Same" sub-context menu you are presented with options for:

Code: Select all

Artist
Composer
Album
Genre
Year
Playlist
Folder (Library)
Folder (My Computer)
Folder (Explorer)
However, if you were to right click the same track in the main window inside other nodes such as Album, Artist or Genre, you get a different set of options. This set of options appear to depend on your view settings, thus with my settings, I get:

Code: Select all

Artist
Album Artist
Conductor
Album
Genre
Year
Playlist
Folder (Library)
Folder (My Computer)
Folder (Explorer)
Should they not be consistent?

Oh, yes. I have noticed that forever, and it bugs me too! I agree that they should be consistent.

I have another question about "Find more.."

If I had a CD with two symphonies on it. One symphony the artist would be "Herbert von Karajan; Berlin Phil Orch" the other symphony the artist would be "Cluadio Abbado; Vienna Phil Orch."

If I'm looking at one of the symphonies under the Artist node, and I click Find more from same album, it will not show me all the tracks under that album. I've never like this functionality very much. I think it should show every track from the album of that title.
