1170 Does Auto-tag from Filename <Playlist> work for a[6873]

While looking for ways to automate some of my playlist processes, I tried

Auto-tag from Filename
Filename Format: <Track#>-<Title>-<Playlist>

on track 01-Summertime-Faves.Mp3, but it doesn't add the track to playlist Faves as expected.

Has anyone got <Playlist> to work here? Thanks.

Ah, I guess these means the non-functionality is not going to get fixed!

We decided to not implement this yet, it might be aded in the future though. That said, there are several questions:
1. Does anyone actually need it?
2. Should such a playlist be added to root node of Playlists or sub to some special playlist?
3. Anything else?

Well, I'd rather not need it! I was scrabbling about for a method of automating some playlist processes of mine, but far better would be e.g. import playlist references from track tags. Having said which, I think my playlist requirements are beyond that of most users, so I guess it would be better to me to find another program for that and MM Dev's to concentrate on more urgent things. ;)

Though if you do come back to implement <Playlist> and what suggestions of how it should work, please do say!

EDIT Feature removed - WONTFIX assumed.

In the help file, for <Playlist> it states:

This mask can only be used for CD Burning and Exporting tracks.

So why do you expect it to work in auto-tag from filename?
