Ipod Sync, albums not showing under artists

Post by mjhmjh2 »

Hi,

Can anyone help with an odd problem I've noticed (maybe it's meant to be this way)

If I browse my iPod under Music/Artists section, to an artist with only one album, it goes directly to the track listing and does not show the album name or artwork. If I browse to an artist with multiple albums it shows the albums and the album artwork, odd. This is on a Classic iPod with the whole library set to auto-sync.

If I try this on an old 3rd Gen iPod it still seems to list them by album (this is not set to autosync though)

Any ideas?
Thanks
Matthew

My guess is that its just the way the iPod classic handles artists with only one album, though I'm not sure about that, just giving a guess.

I wondered that too, so I synced an anrtist with only one album using itunes and it showed the album art as expected. This seems to be a 'feature', is there a way to report such things and are they likely to be looked at?

so far I tried
iPod 3 Gen - works fine
Nano 3rd Gen - doesn't work
iPod Classic 6th Gen - doesn't work
