Just a couple of ideas on how to improve the already fantastic album art display!
Idea No. 1 - Have the album art fade in/out between albums. Possibly as an option, and maybe second or so before the next track (if the next track is from a different album of course!).
Idea. No. 2 - Make the album art display background costomizable, either by allowing the user to change the background picture or atleast the colour.
Thanks for listenen to us guys by the way!

No 4 can be done with skins.
No 3 can be done with screensavers. Check out WinAmp.com for such plugins. Some screensavers can also get track information. I'm not sure if MM handles album art the same way as WinAmp and as such would be compatible with a plugin or screensaver.

I use a WinAmp plugin called "Toaster" that pops the album information, including art, over whatever you happen to be doing at the time.
Mine is set to pop out to the right in the bottom left corner, then fade away. This happens whenever a new track comes on. It's very keen, though the program itself is rough around the edges. And I have no idea if it works with MM or not.

Not dynamically. I'm not sure I'm understanding your point. In skins you can change most of the design of MM. But you would need to create a new skin.
If you mean showing the album art as a watermark behind the tracklistings, that isn't possible.

Instead of the Album Art Window, (to save on screen real estate) the current album art would be nice as a watermarked image behind the track listing

Tracks might be hard to read then... Or need to draw the texts using a graphic mask, which may result in ugly effects.pah68 wrote:Instead of the Album Art Window, (to save on screen real estate) the current album art would be nice as a watermarked image behind the track listing
As for me, i think it would be cool if the album art could be displayed as a thumbnail within the track info popup balloon.
@Risser: seems "Toaster" plugin doesn't work with MM (nothing happens, MM's notification on new track is disabled).

Will that be included in future versions?EAJ wrote: Idea. No. 2 - Make the album art display background costomizable, either by allowing the user to change the background picture or atleast the colour.
It's the only point (on album art window) wich disturbs me.
It should have the same background as the explorer tree and the now playing window - like saved in the skins.
Would be nice

Would it be possible to have the option to display mixed multiple album art? I like to add the front cover to the tracks' tags regardless of files that may be in the album directory, but then if the folder also happens to contain other artwork (back, cd, etc.), I'd like that to pop up too. If there is two 'fronts' (more than likely.. tag / file), display the largest (normally file). I think MM gives the 'either tag art and no folder art option' or vice versa so far.
Also, when selecting all tracks and going to properties, the album art, album comment should possibly display the 'common to all tracks' items.
And lastly, a button in Properties to do the 'clean all tags selected' would be very handy.
Off topic:
The ability to move and dock windows in every conceivable manor is limited. The 'Library' is the window where I want to see the most details on the files, tags etc. Hence I want it the entire width of the screen and other windows sitting on top of that.. i.e

Can't be done I think. Also the 'Player' size seems to interfere with this a fair bit when moving it about. Resizable player? Don't know how to explain myself better on this one, sorry.
Finally, dockable 'Equilizer' and 'Properties' windows would be top banana!
Cheers
