in this post I am referring to the API for the "Auto-Tag from web" scripts. Please do not confuse this with the other web search panel scripts.
I would love to see way to force association of a track from the "NewTrack" list with a track from the current search result. If a call to "SmartUpdateTracks" fails to sync some tracks of a search result, there is no way to tell MM manually, which tracks should be synced with which item of the search result.
An example: The mp3 sought is named "lost" but the track's name on the album, which was found by the search is "lost feat. bla bla bla". MM will sometimes not recognize, that these tracks match (which is ok since the name difference significant). As a result the track is not checked in the list and therefore not updated by default. The only thing the user can do about that at the moment is checking the track and copying all relevant data manually from the search result list.
In the default Amazon search, this problem is solved quite simple: You enter the search result track number right next to the check box in the new tracks list. Pressing enter will automatically check the list item and sync all information in the list with the data from the search result. And this is exactly, what I am missing in the scripting API. If there would be an event notifying changes in the list the script could do this as well. In addition it would be helpful for the script if it could access the numbers entered in the column of the checkbox.
I already asked in the scripting forum how to solve this issue, but no one had an idea (or understood my cruel explanation - dunno
Thanks for your attention and patience,
