Track info pop up hot key

Does anybody know of a way to designate a global hotkey that will show the track info pop up On Demand rather than just when a new track begins playing?

I would also be interested in a script (if one exists) that accomplished something comparable.

No, its not possible since its handled internally by MM. The wishlist would be a good place for this request.
