Having my folders organized where my files reside, I prefer to sync complete folders to my external device. This is done using the standard drive interface in the device sync section. Now the strange thing that happens:
- When tagging complete folders to sync
- the created playlist for the folder (I have set the playlist options to create a playlist for all cases) lists the file in a non expected order:
- Sometimes it is sorted nearly right, but not always
- mostly the files are sorted 01,10,11,12,,,19,02,20,21 this is driving me nuts and I have no way to change this!
Is there any option how I can set the sort option for the generated playlists (folders, artists, albums)?
Filenames are setup correctly matching the track numbers - filled with leading zeros.
When using the context option "send to" -> device then the sort option of the current selected file list applies.
There is also a bug/feature I noticed:
- the device profile allows to setup a playlist directory like \mypath\x! and this generates playlists \mypath\x!<playlist>
- the context menu send to device will take the same string above but create playlists \mypath\x!\<playlist>
I like the first option better as I can choose myself (by closing the string with a backslash) if a directory or an additional prefix to the playlists is created. The latter is useful if other playlists are on the device and you want to get them named differently.
And a real bug:
- when the directory name has dots in the name e.g. "Lastname, Firstname M. - his artwork" the generated playlist will be named only until the "." and the remaining string is omitted.
