Evo 4g won't sync music

Hi all,

I have been searching far and wide for a solution. I followed this guide to the T in terms of setting up my configuration...

When I go to sync the playlist gets added into the playlist folder on my device but the MP3's are nowhere to be found....

Phone is an Evo 4g and MM is 3.2 gold version.

I added the "[WMDM] COMApartmentThreading=1" onto the end of my .ini file as well....

Any suggestions?

try using generic usb device and not mtp plugin.

I am using the generic USB device, it is the only way I can get the device to be recognized....

are you sure?

afaik, the wmdm entry is for the MTP mode.

did you specify a full sync path like:

\music\<artist>\<title>

or similar?

I have an evo as well, and when I synced it under mtp mode and it drops the files into the root of the sdcard.

When I get home I'll check my exact settings.

But mainly I haven't even been using sync'd files, I've been using last.fm or pandora.

Still no luck, here are screenshots of my settings....If I select anything other than "New Device" MM wont recognize the device.

working for me... i'm using auto sync with an auto-playlist chosen

i tried with and without 'copy playlists' enabled.

I'm having the same problem and modifying the INI file didn't work. I can't change the plugin for my device (the plugin used is WMDM) and I can't get the 'Find device' options. In the screenshot, I've marked the part that I can't see in my options; as a matter of fact, I've never seen that in my options. FYI, I'm using a FAT32 Kingston microcard inserted in my laptop with a SC card adapter (the normal size card). Thanks.

Uncheck the WMDM plugin, then choose the d_USBMass plugin and hit "Configure". The find device options are in the last tab.
