Airtunes

The best of iTunes is the function you can stream music wirelessly (WiFi) using airtunes to any amplifier you have in your home.....Thant's the only reason I still use iTunes also besides MM. Maybe an idea to offer "external" loudspeakers like iTunes does....

This is a propriety Apple solution. This means that either someone needs to write a hack to make the winamp platform compatible with airtunes or some other vendor needs to create a similar, but open equipment.
The way things are looking I don't expect any other equipment soon as most focus on pulling content (media extenders, etc) instead of allowing pusing content (airtunes).

Does anybody know if http://www.cd3o.com/products/models.html their product works well with MM? It's not a plugin, but it gets close to what airTunes accomplishes.

I want to be able to dump iTunes since it is so flakey...

No and yes.
The Control Center works together with your existing PC music player or jukebox software: Windows Media Player, Music Match, WinAMP, and others. Use your current player to manage your music library and play music on your computer, and use the cd3o Control Center to play music on your Network MP3 Players.

The cd3o system lets you keep your music files organized the way you like. You won't have to rearrange files, create special directories, or make disk-wasting copies. The cd3o software even supports reading and writing standard m3u playlist files, so that you can create and listen to your favorite mixes wherever you
This translates to that MM can manage your music. But you'll need to use their software to play the music. It doesn't seem to be the best solution to me as many similar products allow you to browse your collection on the TV as well.
So the conclusion that it seems that you can't use MM to play music on the cd3o.

There are several options for doing this:

1.) Using the WinAmp / MM output plugin from here.

2.) Using the additional AirFoil software from here.

These two are thoroughly discussed on this thread in the WinAmp forums.

Grab this little beauty and if you already have an airport express for Itunes this works a treat. Downside is you have to pay $25 for all major updates (that is once off) but it streams out of media monkey like a dream - in fact mine is going now.

http://emilles.dyndns.org/software/out_ ... px-2.5.zip then check the forum for remote speakers I think it is listed under....

It was the one feature of ITUNES I missed also and now my media monkey experience is complete!
