MM is not remembering the Column settings in some cases. This one is reproducible here:
1.) Share Columns Settings of Music with Entire Library.
2.) Create a new Playlist and view as Entire Library.
3.) "View as" of the playlist is automatically changed to "Music".
4.) Collection Options of "Music" is missing "Entire Library" to "Share Tree & Columns Settings"
5.) Column Settings in Collection Options of "Entire Library" are reset to what they were before 1.)

Re: 1364: fails to remember "Share Tree & Columns settings"
Maybe it's caused to the fact, that you can not share tree and column settings of entire library with any collection, but it does work the other way around. You can copy the settings from any other collection towards entire library collection.
Re: 1364: fails to remember "Share Tree & Columns settings"
Refering to #7827 I don't see the initial description of the problem fixed in 1377.
Sharing Settings of collections via tools - options - media tree - edit does work both ways, donating and receiving settings.
But if you rightlick a collection with shared settings in the media tree, choose options and edit collection it would still state as shared settings: NONE
Aditionally: Sharing settings with entire library only works from another collection. It's not possible to share settings from e.l. options.
Sharing with entire library is not remembered in the options panels.
I would also like to have an option to share columns with greyed out collections like search results or now playing. Otherwise search results layout could be shown dynamic depending where search takes place.

Re: 1364: fails to remember "Share Tree & Columns settings"
I think I'm adding this to the right thread, but every time I make some update to MM (new skin, new script) the column settings are not saved. It's also a hassle to have specify that you want the settings one specific way for everything. For instance no matter what I click on whether it's music, now playing, or different playlists, it should always have the same settings. Also anytime you fiddle with a playlist, the settings get messed up again.
Re: 1364: fails to remember "Share Tree & Columns settings"
No, MM separates the settings, so each Collection has it's own and each Playlist has it's own.

Re: 1364: fails to remember "Share Tree & Columns settings"
Much has changed since this initial report:
1/5) Music can adopt 'Entire Library' column settings, and persist them correctly in 1401.
2/3) The playlist 'View as' setting persists correctly
4) The omission of sharing options for 'Entire Library' is intentional. The way to share Entire Library settings is by using the 'semi-check' to check off columns in any collection.
