Stream music OK--Stream video no go

Post by Whiznot »

With Windows Media Player I am able to stream music and video to my Samsung DLNA playing HDTV. With MediaMonkey 4.0.0.1424 (and XBMC) I am able to stream music but not video. The Samsung HDTV shows the video file names playing results in an unsupported format message. I do not understand what I am doing wrong. The Samung HDTV natively supports almost every codec. Please help--I would rather not use Windows Media Player.

What file format are you trying to stream? Is this issue new to 1424?

I tried with MP4 and MPG and both played, although both crashed the TV as well.

When it crashed? At the end of the playback?
Debug log would be useful.

I will still look into the crashing on my side to see if it is reproducible under lighter system load and logs will be send then.

To close this issue, it was found to be related to a corrupt video file.
