I installed 1430 and I had tons of columns open that I never had open before and they won't go away.
Everytime I click the music folder, the "album" column is now showing up, which I never had chosen before. So I uncheck it from my selected columns and it goes away. Now If I click on something else and go back to music, the album column shows back up, no matter how many times I try to make the change.
Now as far as playlists goes, I always had the "summary, title, artist, composer, date, genre, rating, length, track #, bitrate, played #, and last played" columns selected. As soon as I installed MM 1430, the following were all shown up and I can't get them to go away (the ones in CAPS are ones I never had selected): "summary, title, artist, composer, ALBUM, ALBUM ARTIST, date, genre, rating, PATH, FILENAME, length, track #, bitrate, FILE SIZE, TIMESTAMP, ADDED, played #, last played, CUSTOM 3, OCCASION, BPM, TEMPO, SAMPLE, and COMMENT"

Re: 1430 Unwanted columns showing up
I had the same issue here for playlists, but after I fixed the columns there was not another issue. I think it's related to this fix:

where the way this info is saved was changed between 1428 and 1430. In other words, if you fix it now, should not be a problem later.

Mike,
If I understand, the problem is that you can't fix it no matter what. i.e. you can't make those columns go away.
Is that correct?
btw, what version of MM did you upgrade from?
