[1439] Played # not incrementing correctly after sync
I sync, play a song once on my iPhone4, then sync again and the Played # counter is not incremeting by one. Example, Played # before: 2421, after: 2438.

Re: [1439] Played # not incrementing correctly after sync
Do you say that play counter is incrementing by 17 or so after every sync?
It is incremented where, on the iPhone or in MediaMonkey?
Did you check
Device -> Options -> Auto Sync -> [x] Auto-Sync files from the device to the PC
checkbox or not?

Re: [1439] Played # not incrementing correctly after sync
The Played # field is incrementing in MM, I do not have Auto-Sync files checked, and it is not always by 17.

Re: [1439] Played # not incrementing correctly after sync
If you have the '[ ] Auto-Sync files from the device to the PC' checkbox unchecked then I don't see a reason for increasing Played# value in MM. Do you use some scripts/addons that could cause this? Could you please generate debug log using latest build (1440) so that we could see more.

Yes, this is intended, bi-di sync option is for files syncing, ratings and playcounts are done independently (as in case of the iPod plug-in).

Re: [1439] Played # not incrementing correctly after sync
Yes, sorry, you are right.
So the issue is that after changing playcounts on the iPhone the Played# doesn't grow accordingly in MM?

Re: [1439] Played # not incrementing correctly after sync
Well, it's working okay for me. Just tested it to be sure by playing a track once after syncing and then when I plugged the phone back into USB, I watched the playcount of the track go from 5 -> 6.Ludek wrote:Yes, sorry, you are right.

Re: [1439] Played # not incrementing correctly after sync
Ok, it also works fine for me, I guess that TekGamer should generate debug log using latest build (1440) so that we could see more.
Re: [1439] Played # not incrementing correctly after sync
Ludek,
Here is a list of the extensions (scripts) I have installed:
Add/Remove Playstat (Script) 1.2.4 (AddRemovePlaystat.1.2.4.mmip)
MM Codec pack Trial (Misc) 2.0.0.14 (MM_Codec_Pack_Trial_2.0.0.14.mmip)
PlayHistory & Stats (Script) 4.01 (PlayHistory.4.0.1.mmip)
Lyricator (Script) 1.1.1.31 (lyricator_1.1.1.31.mmip)
RegExpReplace (Script) 4.1 (RegExpReplace-4.1.mmip)
CaseModify (Script) 1.4.2 (CaseModify1.4.2.mmip)
I installed MediaMonkey_4.0.0.1440_Debug.exe, how do I generate a debug log?

Re: [1439] Played # not incrementing correctly after sync
Also, after installing 4.0.0.1440, and syncing with [ ] Auto-Sync files from the device to the PC' checkbox UNCHECKED, it is now DOUBLING the playcount every time!

See item 4b here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=6&t=341
And also tell us which iPhone model do you have.

Re: [1439] Played # not incrementing correctly after sync
I have an iPhone 4
Here is the link to the log http://www.mediafire.com/?1yvba9inn5my3y5. I played two songs on my iPhone, then synced. As you can see in the log it is still updating the file tags even though I have "[ ] Auto-Sync files from the device to the PC" checkbox UNCHECKED, it is now DOUBLING the playcount every time!
Here are the two songs I played on my iPhone 4 then synced. You can see in the log where it is updating the file tags:
line 00005879 -> Deadmau5 - Raise Your Weapon.mp3
line 00005856 -> Calvin Harris - I'm Not Alone [Deadmau5 Remix].mp3

Re: [1439] Played # not incrementing correctly after sync
I can't find any problem, it works fine here for everyone who tested. Could you try to:
1. Make sure that you don't have iTunes running simultaneously?
2. Reinstall MM, preferably to a clean folder, so that we rule out some misconfiguration.
3. Try to generate one more log (the one you created is ok, I just wonder whether another log will show the very same steps).
4. Did it work correctly for you in previous builds?

Re: [1439] Played # not incrementing correctly after sync
Tekgamer,
When you do step 2 (clean install), I would suggest that you:
a) uninstall MM4 from your machine, and rename the C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey directory to e.g. ...\MediaMonkey_old
b) install the latest build in Portable mode
This could be related to: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 91#p312759

Re: [1439] Played # not incrementing correctly after sync
I already had MM installed in Portable mode. I renamed %APPDATA%\MediaMonkey to %APPDATA%\MediaMonkey, which may have been left over from an old local install. Then I renamed the directory I had MM installed into from E:\Music\Player to E:\Music\Player.bak. I then installed a fresh copy of MediaMonkey_4.0.0.1440_Debug.exe into E:\Music\Player in Portable mode, started it up and put in my license information. I then copied by DB back to where it should be from E:\Music\Player.bak\Portable\MM.DB to E:\Music\Player\Portable\MM.DB. I did an initial sync of my iPhone4 (keeping '[ ] Auto-Sync files from the device to the PC' checkbox unchecked), disconneted it, played one song, then synced again, and now the Played # is only incrementing by 1 as it should.
Thanks Everyone!
