Using Trixmoto's "Import XMCD" script to archive vinyl...

Post by ~Maxx »

Hi folks. I ran across an old post (which I can't seem to locate now) indicating that this script might be helpful in creating MM library entries for other media collections where there are no audio files on the HD. Just a reference to the album and tagging info. I installed the last version (1.2) in MM4 (build 1457), and it seems to be working well. I had a question, though, regarding album art...

Once I create the library entry, if I use "auto-tag from web" and upload the album art (set to "save to tag and to file folder"), I can see the album art in the "artwork" tab under the "properties" dialog - but I can't get the art to display in the "artwork" column in the main browser. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this a limitation of what I'm dealing with? I couldn't find a folder where the art was physically saved, and there's obviously no audio file for the image to be embedded in - so I'm a bit confused by the fact that it's showing up at all. If anyone has an understanding of how this all works I'd sure appreciate some input. Thanks in advance!
