AMR, tagging, and other rare species

Post by Gabor »

I’m trying to find a way to get Media Monkey to handle my extensive library of AMR files. The problem isn’t playing them – I could use Quicktime, RealPlayer, or a handful of other programs to do that – it’s being able to tag them so Media Monkey can do its magic. Can this be done? Does anyone else have experience with tagging file types that aren’t inherently supported by Media Monkey or its addons?

You can't tag files not natively supported by MediaMonkey.

It could save relevant information into the database for these files (you'd just need a Winamp plugin so that MM would recognize the files). But it would be saved to the MM database, not to the file itself.

Thanks for the feedback! I’m thinking even saving info to the database independent of the files might be useful, but haven’t been able to find a Winamp plugin to even play the files through MM, much less store any info. Any chance you could point me in the direction of the plugin to use?

I've search google quickly but I didn't see anything. Probably such a plugin doesn't exist.
