Strange Beta1 behavior

Post by psyXonova »

Ok, this is indeed strange.
From the moment i installed beta1 everytime i minimize the MM to the taskbar i can see a portion of its title bar on my desktop just above the Start button.
I cant select it and refreshing the desktop doesn removes it. Tried a restar, no luck...
Bug?

Here is a screenshot to see what i mean

I have the same thing too, but beside that, it's all good. Love the software.

Does that only happen from minimizing to the Taskbar then? I don't get that when it goes to the system tray, but another error that I posted a topic about already.

If I select "Overide skin theme with Windows System theme" then I don't have the problem.

If I un-select "Overide skin theme with Windows System theme" and use the "Aqua" skin, then the trouble is readily apparent.

For what it's worth, I haven't seen this problem in Beta 1 with the override skin on/off and minimize set to tray or taskbar.

Ditto here:
MMb1, skin, WinXP SP0, with option 'min to tray' and 'min to taskbar' only (but after playing with this option, the problem disappears until restarting MM)

Exactly the same thing happened to me too when I first startet the Beta1. I quit the Monkey, started it up again and it did never happen again ever since.

i don't have the beta version but from the reports in this thread it sounds like there is a messed up registry on the computers that do have this trouble every time they use monkey.

run the registry cleaners you have and see if that fixes.

one for winxp would be.

look around on http://www.snapfiles.com and http://www.majorgeeks.com

for it.

I can't reproduce it on my machine, but the problem is most likely caused by a new code in beta 1 related to hiding windows in Minimize to Tray. This should be fixed in the next release.
