Can only import 178 songs

I have around 265 gigs of music, and I can only import 178 songs.

I'm using Vista. Can someone help?

Check the "entire library" node in MM. Also, make sure all applicable file types and folder are selected in the Add/rescan window.

You will probably need to enable it via File > Manage collections.

Thanks I just found the node. But it's stuck adding one file, for ages.

EDIT: It's got past that one now, but it's taking quite a while on each song. Is this normal?

No. What types of files are you scanning? Where are they? If you're scanning over the network there could be a bottleneck due to bandwidth, etc.

Normal MP3s. And I'm just getting them from my local drive and another (internal) HDD.

It shouldn't hang on any file. It ought to blur the file names they are added so fast. Something is REAL wrong. It shouldn't take more than a few hrs (2-3) to do your library. Is your library on a USB external drive?
