auto playlist that points to contents of folder on C: drive

Post by rithym »

is it possible to create an auto playlist in MM 4.07.1506 which lists all the tracks inside a particular folder on C: drive?

I can create an auto playlist no problem but can't see an option in the advanced search criteria drop down menu to point to a particular folder (& include all sub folders)

Any help much appreciated

thanks for the reply
the folder I would like to add to auto playlist is directly on the C: drive namely 'C:/Music to edit' the location of which I have put in the path/filename (same as you suggest) but nothing appears in the playlist even though there is 3GB of mp3 files in there...

Did you scan the files into the Library, only files in the Library can be added to Playlists.

Also C:/Music should be C:\Music

okay, that answers that one... no, the tracks are not already scanned in to library they are newly aquired waiting to be tagged I was just looking for a quicker way to access the folder rather than go the My Computer, etc

I did use backslash rather then forward that was a typo.

Thanks for the answer
