Proxy

Some things with proxy for streaming

MM seems to use IE in the background, you might want to put in your release notes somewhere that IE needs to be configured for proxy also! It does not seem to work without config IE also for proxy. Some people like me do not use IE and it is not configured on my system.

Are there options to use a better more secure browser like firefox, or opera instead of IE in the background?

Also it seems to be hit or miss for connecting. Can it be set up for retrying a few times before bailing?

a_cad,

Thx--I'll updated the docs.

Re. hit or miss, I've tested this and didn't observe any problem. Do you see this consistently?

What OS?

I am using XP sp2 I think the latest updates.

It seems to connect 50%

I thought it might be my proxy setup, It might still be. But winamp seems to connect all the time through the proxy.

proxy problem

Hi,

Just tested this and I'm always connecting successfully, though I find that streaming sometimes hiccups.

When you mention 50%, are you referring to radio connections or Freedb?
