I just installed the new beta3, and successfully synchronised existing content to the iPod, including ratings and album art.
However, when I then add new album art to the Mediamonkey database, I would of course expect it to be synchronised to the iPod as well. This however does not happen.
Is this a bug, or is this album art-synchronisation not yet supported?
Thanks,
Teunis
New album art does not synchronise with iPod video

Album Art Synchronization
Teunis,
Album Art should be fully supported. Question: when you say that you added new Album Art to the MM database and that it didn't synch, which scenarios are you referring to?
a) Modified the Album Art of tracks that already had album art?
b) Added album art to tracks that didn't have any?
c) Added multiple images to a single track that already had one image?
Lastly, what iPod device are you using?
Thanks for your help.

I also have an iPod video and I confirm the following issue:
1) Initially, have an album with no album art synchronized with the iPod
2) Add album art to this album in Mediamonkey
3) Synchronize
4) There is still no album art displayed on the iPod.
But:
5) Synchronize the album tags (Ctrl+S)
6) Synchronize with the iPod
7) The album art is displayed on the iPod for this album

Rusty, my problem is as described by Amarcord's 1 to 4.
Jiri, I conclude from your post that MM's behaviour (not syncing 'new' album art) is not a bug, but is a known issue.
In that case my post becomes a feature request, to also synchronise album art when track properties themselves are not changed. The CTRL-S route described by Amarcord is a workaround, but it would be much better if MM would do this automatically.
Thanks,
Teunis

Thanks Jiri.
From the RC1 release notes ("Fixed synchronization: Album Art fails to update on device if timestamp hasn't changed"), I gather that the issue identified in this topic should no longer occur now. However, I still can't get it to work. I have several albums on my iPod without album art. Afterwards, I add album art in Mediamonkey. The album art however fails to synchronise to iPod.
Or could this have to do with the iPod being first loaded by beta3/4, and the album art synchronisation only properly working when the iPod was originally loaded by RC1?
Thanks,
Teunis
