[RC3] burn prblm because of accented letters?

Post by ariel »

I just got another ...
Burning was not successful: Could not write the image layout to the disk.
I'm 99% sure it stopped burning when it reached a file which had an accented letter in the filename, 90% sure it was "é" (that's a lower case "E" with a "/" above it, in case it doesn't display right) . The previous time I had the burn problem there were also filnames with accented letters in the list.

No time to check further or install the debug version. But for compatibilty reasons I'd like an option to have lower-ASCII only filnames (replace upper-ASCII with "_" for example).

99.999...% sure now - I replaced all the accented letters in the filenames with their lower ASCII counterparts and the problem was gone.

[I really hate having to re-scan an MP3 CD I just burnt in order for MM to know the songs are on that CD. There should be an option in the burn dialog to have it done automatically]

This will be fixed in the next release, burning will no longer fail and tracks will be burnt.

Thanks,
